ATTENTION ALL YOUTH!
Did you know Lent is a special time of the year to grow closer with God. One way to do that is to get involved with the youth groups! We have plenty of volunteer dates and other events this Lent & Holy Week!
All Ages:
- Holy Friday (May 3rd) we will have a retreat for ages 3 through 5th grade. Other ages can sign up to assistant teach or to help around the church. We hope for lots children of all ages to come that day! And parents! If you need a note to be excused from school, please contact the church office at (708) 562-2744.
GOYA (all High School Students) :
- LUMINARIA Name Collecting. We need two people to sit at the table at coffee hour for 15 minutes after church on Sundays to collect names for our Luminaria. On Holy Friday GOYA sets up bags with all the names collected with candles in them and places them all around outside the church. So, who can help collect names? Sign up HERE! If you want to help set up or take down the luminaria on Holy Friday, May 3rd, you can sign up under the Candle link below.
- Come on Wednesday, April 3rd, to Pre-Sanctified Liturgy at 5:30, followed by us hosting the Pre-Sanctified Dinner! If you want to help, please email Alexa at [email protected]
GOYA & Jr. GOYA (All High School Students & All Jr. High School Students):
- CANDLES DURING Holy Week. We need volunteers to sell candles during all services starting 2:00pm, May 3rd, Holy Friday afternoon, and going through Pascha morning service. Please sign up for as many shifts as you can HERE!
- PALM FOLDING. On April 23 at 6pm-8pm, we will have a quick dinner and then we will assist the church in folding 1,000 palms into crosses! Any palms we don’t finish, we will do after church on Saturday, April 27th.
Jr. GOYA & JOY:
