FLASH! BULLETIN! RED ALERT! THE END OF A FORTY-FIVE-YEAR TRADITION WILL COME TO AN END ON MAY 19, 2024!!!
On Sunday, May 19th, immediately following Divine Liturgy, the Adventure Theater will be presenting its final performance, a radio play with a Resurrection theme entitled “The Tomb With The Unbreakable Seal,” in the multipurpose room, preceded by a delicious luncheon hosted by the Adventure Theater for our audience. So, please plan to come. We are hoping that, since this will be our final performance, a few new kids, former members, and even alumni, might be interested in filling important parts in the play. Don’t forget, in radio plays, lines are read, not memorized.

Finally, during the adventure Theater’s almost forty-five years of existence, by the grace of God, it has drawn hundreds of participants, produced scores of original stage, shadowbox, radio, and video plays written by the group’s members and me, and has created many lasting friendships as well as one or two marriages. With God’s help, the group has followed its prime purpose and goal– to show how the teachings, principles, and truths set forth by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and His church can be applied in possible real-life situations, as well as using the acting ability and other talents of our young people to glorify The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. However, the present members of our group and I have regretfully arrived at the decision that since it has become increasingly difficult to draw new members, and since school obligations have become more frequent and demanding, the time has come to bring the curtain down on the Adventure Theater. We want to thank parents, grandparents, Holy Apostles Church, and many others for your generous support. In Christ’s name. Amen.
